Jaxon's room

We found this bedding & we like it better than the other bedding posted below. It coordinates together well but isn't matchy-matchy like the other was. We picked it up last night!

Baby room

Baby, Jaxon, is coming fast. March is almost over & Jaxon will come within 2 1/2 (if I deliver early)-3 1/2 months (on time)! I can't believe it. So I want to get the nursery done while I still feel relatively good. The rest of the house can wait until I'm done with his room & getting other things done for him. I've got a few pics of where I want to go with the nursery.

I love the sports theme for his room because dad loves sports! I love the artwork here & Shawn is a little bit of an artist himself so I'm going to let him take that project. I love the idea of putting it above the crib & creating an awesome focal point for the room. I want to make it a little "younger" looking though. The colors are a little dehydrated in here so I want to add a little life to the colors pictured.

I like the colors here a lot better. I like the bedding but I want to adjust some things. Its a little matchy-matchy so I'd so something LIKE this but with my own spin.

Update

I'm looking for one of these... for cheap! If you see one call me immediately (787-7574).

I'm taking each project a little slower because money is a little tight right now. We both got laid off in January (we worked for the same company) & we're making about $1,500 less a month than we were before. We both have jobs & we're getting by ok but I'm only working part time & Shawn is working a crappy warehouse job for a few more weeks until he starts his other job. He found a job managing a restaurant that is opening in about a month. The pay is pretty good so it'll be nice to have a little more income.

How I'm attacking each project is one small segment at a time. I'm currently working on my master bathroom. Since money is so tight I get to make my own money on the side to provide the means to do it. This week my focus was paint. We went to Lowes on Friday night & priced out everything I'm going to need for the project (paint, rollers, tape, & brush) and picked a few colors that we like. To earn the $35 I'm going to need for the project, I'm going to babysit from my friend, Tina, on Saturday while Shawn is at work.

The next portion is to get that mirror!!! I'm using the law of the vacuum (get rid of the things that make you unhappy to make room for the things that make you happy) to get it. So I'm going to take down our contractor's mirror when I (aka Shawn because of pregnancy) paint. So I won't have a mirror on my bathroom wall until I get this one. So again, if you see one somewhere cheap (around $30) call me! Thanks!!
